Matin’s House

A Design is only a plan, while the actual is the aftermath; how the project is implemented.

  • Brainstorming
  • Meeting with client
  • Meeting with the family.
  • Concept Design
  • Final Design
  • Construction Supervision
  • Data Delivery

This is my first design project. In my last year at Kabul University, I started working on its design. The construction of the house was close to completion when I graduated at the end of 2011. This house was an excellent opportunity for me to practice architecture as a newly-graduate architect in a market with a little understanding of Architecture and its values. However, the aftermath of this house was phenomenal, and it created a noteworthy impression on the occupants and the surrounding residents of the area. This project is one of my all-time favorite works of mine. – Ferdous

House Exterior Design

We are using the best of the available resources in the local market!

It is a residential house facing south with good sun. Sunlight is critical in Afghanistan, and it is a significant source of heat during the winter, and it has always been a crucial factor in the designing process.

The house has one basement with a large salon and ample storage. The yard has a green area and a parking space for three vehicles simultaneously with two gates. The first floor is for the family gathering; a Family Room with an attached dining room, a kitchen with an attached store, a WC, and a Master Bed Room for one of the parents. The second floor has three Master Bed Rooms, a Study, and a room for the kids, as well as a WC in the hall. However, the last floor is for family gatherings—a Laundry room with an extra room with a large terrace used as the yard.
